Welcome to the internet gallery of artist Carol Smith. I am mostly known by Carolyn, but I sign my art work Carol Smith.  My paintings are executed in a realistic style.

When I'm painting a piece, I'm completely captivated by what I'm painting; hours pass by before I know it.  I try to capture the beauty and the feeling of what I see; sometimes I feel like I'm being guided by my heart and soul within me.  Sometimes I embellish and change what I see to how I interpret the feeling of the scene; and that's all part of the joy and power of creating.

The most rewarding part is the completed piece and the pleasurable reaction from a viewer and or customer.
